Most residents of Montgomery County, Maryland, one of the wealthiest counties in the nation, are unaware that 44,000 of the county's children are part of the Free and Reduced Meal Program (FARM) - a program they qualify for based on household income.

33% of all Montgomery County Students are part of the Free and Reduced Meal Program.

Five days a week these children are provided free to low cost lunches; however, a child’s basic needs don't only exist Monday through Friday.

Kids In Need Distributors is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to providing the children of Montgomery County their most basic needs when they need it most. KIND sends children home with nutritious food items each weekend throughout the school year that wouldn't otherwise be available, and begins each year with a one-time delivery of essential hygiene items. Through partnerships, sponsorships, and individual donations, KIND is
continually getting closer to its vision of creating a nourishing environment for all of Montgomery County's children all the time.
