Kids In Need Distributors was founded by one of the top residential real estate agents in the U.S., Jeremy Lichtenstein. As a former youth sports coach, Jeremy was inspired when one of his player’s parents became deeply involved with a nonprofit dedicated to helping children in need. Since Jeremy often donated to organizations focused on relieving hunger, he immediately knew how KIND would help the community.
As the sole founder of KIND, Jeremy began his mission with an SUV and a trip to the grocery store. The idea was simple – do whatever it takes to get children what they need when they need it most.
After numerous oversized grocery loads from the store and graduating to a sturdier borrowed pickup truck, the managers began to take notice and ask questions. Jeremy happily explained KIND’s mission and asked if they had any suggestions. When the store managers learned of the noble cause of these shopping visits, they gave their expertise and told Jeremy how he could do more with less – less money, less effort, and less time – to provide more assistance to more schools and more students. KIND is now up to four trucks and seven volunteers to deliver the food, and with every trip and every conversation, KIND is proud to tell its story of perseverance and is open to learn even more ways to better fulfill its mission.
